On Foreign Ground – I Främmande mark – Vieraalla maalla 4.–6.5.2012

On the first weekend of may a happening of literature and translation On Foreign Ground – I Främmande mark – Vieraalla maalla gathers an international group of writers and their translators.

On the stage of Turku city library they will offer intercommucational paneldiscussions, presentations and interviews with writers and translators. Guests of the happening include Annica Wennström from Sweden, Iztok Osojnik from Slovenia, Paul Polansky from America, Igor Kotjuh from Estonia and Maria Turtschaninoff, Helen Moster, Stefan Moster, Jukka Mallinen and Ville Hytönen from Finland.

During the happening Cabaret Interruptus will visit Turku Student Theatre stage, with poets Jürgen Rooste, Jann Kaus, Kaur Riismaa and Birk Roheland, rapper Tommyboy and singer Kadri Voorand with Siim Aimla group as their band.

On Foreign Ground is a production of Littera Baltica and Turku City Library.
